The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) and Michael Baker Jr., Inc. (Baker) are pleased to announce the availability of the Environmental Assessment (EA) and the identification of a Preferred Alternative for the Southeast Arkansas Regional Intermodal Facility.
Copies of the EA are available for public review at the Monticello and Warren Public Libraries, the University of Arkansas Monticello library, the Bradley County Industrial Development Corporation office in Warren, AR, and the Mayor's office in Wilmar, AR.
Notice is also hereby given to all interested persons, agencies, and organizations, both local and state, that an open forum public hearing will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the old Wilmar school cafeteria in Wilmar, Arkansas on May 23, 2002.
The public hearing is being held for the purpose of permitting all interested persons, agencies, and organizations the opportunity to express their views regarding the environmental assessment and proposed location of an Intermodal facility and adjacent industrial complex 1.5 to 2 miles east of Wilmar, Arkansas, south of U.S. 278.
Persons wishing to submit written statements may submit them to Mr. Randy Ort, Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department, Environmental Division, P.O. Box 2261, Little Rock, Arkansas, 72203-2261. All comments on the project EA must be received no later than June 14, 2002.
